I wasn’t ditched by Amg Medikal—Sister Derby

Date:

Singer Deborah Vanessa Owusu-Bonsu, known by her stage name Sister Derby, has disclosed that she was not ditched by rapper Amg Medikal when they were dating.

According to her, she opted out of the relationship after she discovered that the rapper was cheating on her with actress Fella Makafui.

In a viral interview on social media, the “Uncle Obama” hitmaker explained that she heard rumors about the illicit affair of her former boyfriend with Fella and even asked Medikal, but the rapper denied the allegations.

“However, I constantly saw Fella Makafui posting pictures of herself, showing her heavy ‘bum’ and captioning the post ‘Your boyfriend’s favorite,’ and that was very disrespectful,” she said.

Since Medikal was denying cheating on her, Sister Derby said she started her own private investigation and discovered the truth, thus opting out of the relationship.

This, she said, was opposed to the long-held belief that Medikal jilted her for Fella Makafui due to her old age, stressing that “Fella is not my mate.”

Sister Derby noted that people were even assuming that she was desperate for marriage, hence Medikal’s reason for abandoning her for someone much younger than her.

“No, I am not that type who is desperately in need of marriage, though shortly after my breakup, Medikal married Fella Makafui. I was cool because I ended the relationship and he was my ex so he could marry anyone he wanted,” she added.

Sister Derby maintained that she was not hurt seeing the two married and always remembered Medikal for his generosity and keeping his promise.
