The men’s national under-20 football team of Ghana, the Black Satellites, has been drawn in Group A of the 2025 African U-20 Championship.
The draws came off at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Ghana will face off against tournament hosts Ivory Coast, DR Congo, and Tanzania.
The Black Satellites, coached by the assistant coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Desmond Ofei, booked their spot at the event, after finishing second at the 2024 WAFU B championship.
Ghana lost 2-1 to the Flying Eagles of Nigeria in the final of the championship on October 30, 2024.
Desmond Ofei has already begun preparations for the U-20 AFCON in December 2024, calling up 35 players for camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence.
