The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Club Licensing Department has communicated solutions to Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko on getting their respective venues approved.
As part of the GFA’s roadmap to the resumption of the Ghana Premier League, an inspection of the various venues was conducted per the GFA Stadium directives.
The home venues for Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, and the University of Ghana Stadium respectively, were not approved by the Club Licensing Department.
In response to earlier reports of their home venue rejection on Tuesday, March 4, the Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, disclosed discussions had been held with authorities of the UG Stadium on improving the safety protocols, as directed by the GFA.
The Club Licensing Board advised Kotoko and Hearts to fix the safe zone before the GPL resumes after March 6.
