Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Ghana’s Minister for Health, has condemned the assault on nurses and staff at the Ridge Hospital.
Youth activist Ralph Gyamerah and other unidentified individuals were seen in a viral video in the act of verbally abusing nurses and staff at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) on August 17, 2025.
The unfortunate incident occurred due to what the group claimed was a delay to attend to their two critically injured friends, after having rushed them over following a motor accident.
Hon. Akandoh, on his visit to the hospital on Monday, August 18, condemned the acts after an interaction with management and the hospital, collecting relevant information.
He also assured a probe into whether there was an actual delay in the charge of service to the aforementioned patients.
