#GhanaPremierLeague: Hearts of Oak MD not happy moving away from Accra Sports Stadium

Date:

Hearts of Oak’s Managing Director, Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah, has vented out his frustrations over the unavailability of their home venue, the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Accra Sports Stadium is part of the venues to host Africa at the 13th African Games, set to take off on Friday, March 8, 2024.

The Phobians had already played on neutral ground as their home venue this season when their home venue was closed down by National Sports Authority boss Peter Twumasi for hosting concerts during Christmas in 2023.

“It’s not ideal, but we will manage until the stadium becomes available while we are planning on getting ours,” he said in an interview with an Accra-based radio station.

Hearts of Oak will have to now host Bofoakwa Tano at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday at 3 p.m. for a matchday 20 encounter.
