The Ghana Police Service has interdicted one of its own for having a restricted pharmaceutical substance in his possession.
G/L/Cpl Shani Abdullai, the culprit, was found in possession of the substance at Kpalsi, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.
In Ghana the Pharmacy Act, 1994 (Act 489), the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857), and the Food and Drugs Law 1992 (PNDCL 305B) prohibit the supply and use of restricted pharmaceuticals.
The police will conduct a thorough investigation into the conduct of G/L/Cpl Shani Abdullai in line with its regulations.
