The Ghana Football Association (GPA) has presented brand new Nissan Navara pickup trucks to eight Regional Football Associations in the country.
The initiative falls under the “straitjacket” FIFA Forward programme aimed at strengthening and enhancing the development of football in the country.
The Upper West Regional FA, Central Regional FA, Brong Ahafo Regional FA, Western Regional FA, Volta Regional FA, Ashanti Regional FA, and Upper East Regional FA are the eight beneficiaries of the initiative.
With his determination to improve and promote grassroots football in the country, Mr Kurt Okraku, president of the GFA, has shown through this initiative by utilising the FIFA Forward programme fund.
“The FIFA Forward Grant, which was used to acquire these vehicles for our RFAs, has enabled us to take a significant step forward in our development agenda,” said Mr Okraku.
The President was joined by the Executive Council and the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Mr Abraham Amaliba to present the keys to the chairmen of the RFAs.
