The Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu, has called for the immediate return of football.
Top division football came to an abrupt hiatus after the tragedy that struck the Asante Kotoko fraternity.
A popular fan of Kotoko, known as Nana Pooley, was killed in Nsoatre during a Ghana Premier League game against Nsoatreman.
According to Adu, football has become more the just winning because a lot of financial investments goes into it.
He urged all stakeholders to devoid football of emotion, considering the significant investments and its prospects.
“Football is people’s investment… At Dun’s there are eight widows I’m allowing to conduct vending business to earn their income. The current MP’s sachet water is the sole water vendor because he subsidised the prices for the people,” he said on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.
Bibiani Gold Stars were knocked out of the MTN FA Cup by Access Bank Division One side, Attram de Visser, in the round of 16 stage on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Tuba Astro Turf.
