The family of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba announced to the media and the general public that they have cut ties and have no connection with Victor Kofi Owusu Boahene, popularly known as Tupac, who is known to be the family head.

He has now been destooled after he failed to appear before the family to answer to the allegations regarding the funeral rites of the late musician.

This announcement was made by the family on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, after a meeting between the members of the Ekuona family at Parkoso in Kumasi.

Tupac failed to show up to answer to the accusations of mishandling the funeral rites of the late musician Daddy Lumba, but he failed to appear before the family, and the family voted to destool him as the family head.

According to the family, Abusuapanyin Tupac has brought shame and disgrace to the maternal family of Daddy Lumba.
