Coronavirus Case Count of Ghana Jumps To 4,700 With 494 Recoveries

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that Ghana’s case count of the novel Coronavirus has jumped to 4700.

According to President Akufo-Addo, the recoveries from the Coronavirus have also increased to 494.

President Akufo-Addo made this announcement during his ninth televised address to the nation on Sunday, May 10, 2020.

Ghana, as of Sunday, 9.30 pm, had conducted 160,501 tests and with total infections of 4,700 and 494 recoveries. The number of people who have died is currently 22 deaths.

The President, meanwhile, has extended the ban on public and social gathering till the end of May.

This is in accordance with the Executive Instrument (E.I.) 64 which president Akufo-Addo signed to give full effect to the new measure from Monday, May 11, 2020.
