Popular comedian, Clemento Suarez, has expressed worry about the rise of drug abuse and smoking among entertainers in the country.
According to him, the act is gradually sending them into their early graves and charging them to prioritize their health.
Expressing his sentiments, the comedian posted on Facebook that artistes and entertainment stakeholders should desist from smoking in order to prolong their lives.
“I wish above all things that the Ghanaian talents stopped smoking,” he posted.
The post attracted a lot of comments, with some individuals expressing shock at the rate at which smoking has become rampant among musicians lately, especially before their performances.
Clemento’s post is to help raise awareness about the long-term health consequences smoking could impose on an artiste’s ability to perform and connect with their audiences.
