Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Evans Adotey, has expressed his belief that his side will get a good result over their opponents, Al Ahly in Egypt.
The Ghanaian champions will commence their CAF Champions League campaign against record title holders Al Ahly in Cairo on Saturday night.
Coach Adotey, in an interview with Max TV reporter Mutala Yakubu, said, “Everyone sees Al Ahly as giants of Africa, and it’s true.
Medeama is an underdog. We’ve to go to Egypt and come back with good results. Unlike the experienced Al Ahly, we’re new to the competition.
The boys are well-motivated thanks to Moses Parker.”
His comments were echoed by the bankroller of the club, Moses Parker, who said, “We will not bring shame to Ghana. A surprise must be either a win or a draw. We’ve done all we could. We leave the rest to God and how the players will perform.”
The team trained on Thursday night ahead of the highly anticipated clash on Saturday.
