Since German football giants Bayern Munich announced Thomas Tuchel’s imminent departure this morning, as usual, certain names have been speculated to be considered as replacements.
Zinedine Zidane?
The former Real Madrid player and manager, still by preference, remains without a club after his second spell with the record European champions.
Julian Nagelsmann?
Could there be a return on the cards for the young German manager? Nagelsmann is still in charge of the German national team and is preparing for the 2024 Euros to be hosted by Germany.
Ange Postecoglou?
The Australian has impressed so far with Tottenham Hotspurs since taking over as manager in the summer of 2023. His side currently sits fifth on the English Premier League standings, despite a few hiccups.
He has been tipped by bookmakers to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager.
Jose Mourinho?
The most unlikely candidate. There have been times in the past where Uli Hoennes has criticized the Portuguese manager’s style of play.
Mourinho still remains on the market for a job after parting ways with AS Roma after winning a European trophy for them in his two-and-a-half-year period with the Romanistas.
Xabi Alonso?
The Spaniard is most likely the best coach of the season thanks to the superb performances of his club, Bayer Leverkusen. Leverkusen are on top of the Bundesliga and successfully beat Bayern Munich a fortnight ago to extend their grip on the top spot.
