Ghanaian light heavyweight boxer Shakul Samed has become the country’s third boxer to secure qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
His qualification is based on the Boxing Task Force (BTF) rankings released in February which ranked him 10th in the world and 3rd in Africa.
He joins flyweight boxer Sulemanu Tetteh and Samuel Takyi, a featherweight boxer, to have qualified for the games scheduled for July this year.
Shakul is the younger brother of Bastir Samir, a member of national boxing team, Black Bombers, who represented Ghana at the Beijing Olympic Game in 2008.
