Former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Samuel Anim Addo, is confident the Black Stars will perform well with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in power.
The Chief Executive Officer for Young Apostles compared the Black Stars during the era of the NDC (2008-2014) to that of the New Patriotic Party (NPP 2015-2024).
According to Anim Addo, the team often tends to enjoy good fortunes, especially in 2010, reaching the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
“If you look at the NDC record, whenever they are in power, we excel. 2014 was a fiasco, but 2010 was our best. NPP gave us a good tournament in 2006,” he said on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.
The experienced football administrator also lamented the Ghana Football Association’s hastiness in adding new members to the Black Stars technical team without waiting for the Sports and Recreation Minister designate, Kofi Adams, to be confirmed.
He believes with the incoming minister, fortunes would turn for the good of the Black Stars
