Baba Yara Sports Stadium to host GHALCA top 4

Date:

The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has been chosen as the venue for the upcoming 2023 Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) top-four tournament. GHALCA made the decision based on the stadium’s proximity to the participating teams.

The tournament will feature four teams: Medeama, the winners of the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League, Aduana Stars (second place), Bechem United, and Asante Kotoko (fourth place). These teams will compete in the tournament as part of their pre-season preparations before the start of the 2023/24 BetPawa Premier League, scheduled to begin in September.

Although the specific dates for the tournament have not yet been announced by GHALCA, it is expected to take place in the near future. In the previous season, the tournament was held at the Accra Sports Stadium, and Great Olympics emerged as the champions.
