ASFC 2025 FINALS: CAF President Dr Motsepe Arrives in Ghana

Date:

President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, has arrived in Accra ahead of the finals of the CAF African Schools Football Championship (ASFC 2025) and a series of important meetings.

Dr. Motsepe landed in the early hours of Saturday, April 26, where he was warmly received by Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and Vice President Mark Addo. His visit marks a major highlight of the ASFC 2025 celebrations.

Later today, Dr. Motsepe is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Kempinski Hotel at 13:30 GMT. He will also meet Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, at the Jubilee House, followed by discussions with CAF Vice-Presidents and the convening of an Executive Committee meeting.

As part of his engagements, Dr. Motsepe will interact with participants from the Young Reporters Workshop during a mixed zone session, one of the key events organized alongside ASFC 2025.

The CAF President will conclude his visit at the University of Ghana Stadium, where he will attend the finals and the closing ceremony. The day will feature the girls’ final between Ghana and Uganda, and the boys’ final between defending champions Tanzania and Senegal.
