Self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale set plans in motion to sign the budding rapper turned singer, King Paluta before the artiste hit the limelight.
Andy Dosty, a famous broadcaster disclosed this during a podcast interview where he said Shatta Wale after featuring young talented stars in Oseikrom on his song “Ahodwo Las Vegas” declared intentions to sign Paluta, recognizing his unique talent.
“The person who wanted to sign Paluta was Shatta Wale. He really wanted to sign him. At that time, no one knew Paluta, he was not a well-known artist,” he said.
Andy Dosty stated that Shatta Wale even came up with strategies to develop King Paluta’s brand when he recognized him as a real gem for the future.
“At the time they released ‘Ahodwo Las Vegas,’ I remember we would talk for an hour discussing Paluta. What can we do to help his career? How we could market him and the cost of investment,” he recounted.
Andy Dosty further noted that King Paluta was not even aware of Shatta’s intentions towards him but the musician hit the limelight before Shatta could deliver on that mandate.
“Paluta was not even aware. We had to do research and make some calls…we had an extensive conversation about Paluta not once, not twice. It was constant,” he stated.
