CAF WCL 2026: Ampem Darkoa Edge Kawempe In Late Drama

Date:

Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies 2-1 to secure their second victory in Group B of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Ghanaian women champions walked away with all three points at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt, on Thursday.

In-form striker Beline Nyarkoh scored a late winner to seal an important second consecutive victory for Nanamma.

Nancy Amoh capitalised on a goalkeeping error to put the Bono-based club ahead before Kawempe restored parity in the 33rd minute through Nabirye Shadia before halftime.

Beline Nyarkoh struck in the 83rd minute to restore the Ghanaian side’s advantage and secure a 2-1 victory.

The result takes Ampem Darkoa to the top of Group B with six points from two matches, strengthening their bid for a place in the semi-finals.

They will face Moroccan side AS FAR in their final group-stage fixture as they look to maintain their position at the summit and secure qualification for the last four.
