Ghana heads into the tough AFCON 2027 qualifiers opening matches without a number of its key players.

This has raised varying concerns about the Black Stars’ chances against, especially, the Ivory Coast and The Gambia.

Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Ghana’s Sports and Recreational Minister, unlike others, remains optimistic about the team’s ability for success.

“We are hoping that on the 24th of this month, when we go to Bouake, we are either drawing or getting all 3 points against The Gambia on the 29th to get all 3 points.”

The minister was speaking in an exclusive interview with Sports Pack host Nana Darkwa Gyasi as Ghana prepares to begin the AFCON qualifiers campaign.

Ghana will take on the Ivory Coast on September 24. A good result will enhance Ghana’s confidence ahead of the Gambia clash in Accra.
