UCL 2026/27: Match Day One Results (Tuesday)

The new UEFA Champions League campaign kicked off on Tuesday, September 8, with six matches taking place across Europe.

AEK Athens hosted LASK and Club Brugge faced Aston Villa in the two early kick-offs, before Borussia Dortmund welcomed Villarreal, Porto met Manchester City, Lille played Real Betis, and Real Madrid took on Inter later in the evening.

The first round of the league phase is spread across three days, from September 8 to September 10, with all 36 participants beginning their campaigns.

Club Brugge 2:3 Aston Villa

Borussia Dortmund 3:2 Villarreal
