The Ghana Commercial Bank, GCB, has deservedly celebrated one of its pioneer staff, who has turned a century old.
Mr S. Q. Duncan, a man who played a pivotal role in what the GCB has become today is now 100 years of age.
Surrounded by his family and top members of GCB at his home, including the Managing Director, Mr Farihan Alhassan, Mr Duncan was greatly appreciated.
The centenarian was part of the pioneers of the bank when it was then known as the “Bank of Gold Coast” in 1953, which was established to be of support to local businesses.
Mr Duncan was part of the 27 staff members at the start of GCB’s operations after then Bank of Gold Coast had broken into two, with the other half being the “Bank of Ghana” as it’s known till date.
The GCB expressed its gratitude for the years of service and commitment to its journey throughout the years.
