Otto Addo, head coach of the senior men’s national football team of Ghana, the Black Stars, has made a new addition to the squad.
OGC Nice stalwart defender Kojo Peprah Oppong receives his first-ever call-up to join the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming double 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Comoros and the Central African Republic.
The 21-year-old, born in Accra, Ghana, began his playing career at former Black Stars striker Godwin Attram’s Attram De Visser before moving to Sweden in 2023 to sign for IFK Norrkoping in 2023.
Oppong, a left-footed central defender, in the summer of 2025 made a big move to Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.
He was paid a recent visit by Otto Addo, after the coach had met with club teammate and fellow countryman Abdul Salis Samed.
