The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, known widely as Prophet Kumchacha says Jesus would have ended up in hell if he had married.
According to him, the idea that Jesus never married when he appeared on earth is a testament to the fact that marriage is dicy and complicated.
Speaking exclusively to Max TV in an interview on e-Quick, an entertainment show in Accra on Thursday, Kumchacha stated that marriage is a problem on its own.
“If you’re in an abusive or unhappy marriage just divorce because if marriage was that easy, when Jesus came down from heaven, he would have married,” he said.
Kumchacha emphasized that Jesus never set an example of marrying because some women could have led him straight to hell.
“If Jesus set an example and had married a woman like Afia Schwarzenegger or Diana Asamoah, he would have missed heaven. He would have gone straight to hell,” he added.
Kumchacha, therefore, urged those who are in unhappy and abusive marriages to divorce their partners.
Citing the Bible, he said “And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body goes into hell.”
“So the idea that the Bible hates divorce is fallacious just opt out, if the marriage is draining your spiritual, mental and physical well being,” Kumchacha maintained.
