4th CAA REGION II ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP : Thirty athletes to represent Ghana

The upcoming Confederation of Africa Athletes (CAA) Region II Senior Athletics Championshipwill see Team Ghana represented by three athletes.

Live on Max TV from June 4 to 5, the championship, which serves as another qualification avenue for athletes for the 2024 Paris Olympics, will be held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Team Ghana consists of fourteen female and sixteen male athletes.

The women’s 100m and 4x100m events will be competed by Hor Halutie, Mary Boakye, Janet Mensah, and Nasera Efua Quansah, while Juliana Sakat Lariba will compete in the 5000m.

The male team, consisting of the likes of Evans Cadman Yeboah, Ghana’s long-distance record holder, William Amponsah, and Sarfo Ansah, amongst others, will be vying for a spot at the Olympics.
