Wilfred Dormon’s reaction as Sylvester Simba equalized from close range describes the feeling of every single Ghanaian after Dreams FC made it to the semifinal of the Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams FC advanced to the semifinal of their maiden participation in any African club competition on a 3-2 aggregate score following a 1-1 draw in Kumasi.
After a goalless first half, Stade Malien’s Diaby opened the scoring in the 59th minute at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, just as he did in the first leg in Bamako a week ago.
The MTN FA winners maintained their composure after going behind but soon killed all hopes of a Stade Malien comeback after Black Galaxies’ winger, Sylvester Simba, slammed a shot from close range in the 70th minute.
Coach Karim Zito’s side will face either Zamalek or Modern Future in the semifinals of the Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup.
