#SouthKorea: Jurgen Klinsmann SACKED

Date:

In just 12 months, Jurgen Klinsmann has been dismissed from his position as South Korea’s head coach.

The 59-year-old German’s deal with the team expires at the end of the 2026 World Cup was signed in February of last year.

However, South Korea’s 64-year wait to win a title was extended when they were defeated in the Asian Cup semi-finals earlier this month.

“We’ve reached a consensus that Klinsmann cannot exercise his leadership as national team head coach for various reasons and that a change of leadership is necessary,” said Hwangbo Kwan of the KFA.
