At the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday night, Asante Kotoko and the returning Heart of Lions played their first game of the year to a scoreless draw.
Early on, the game was evenly matched with all of the action taking place in the middle of the park.
As the game approached halfway, the Porcupine Warriors began to exert pressure on Heart of Lions. In the 43rd minute, Tedeku attempted a long-range shot, but it missed the target and the first half ended scoreless.
Heart of Lions’ goalkeeper Asare proved to be a challenge for them by making some outstanding saves.
Both teams continued to make adjustments to their lineups, but the game remained scoreless.
