Digitalisation in Ghana: IFE calls for expressions of interest

Date:

The German Facility Investing for Employment (IFE) is set to unleash the potential that digitalisation offers for job creation in Ghana.

In preparation of this, IFE is requesting for potential investors to express their interest in participating in the initiative.

The following types of companies and public entities are invited to express their interest and inform on whether they contemplate investing in a digitalisation project;

1. Companies engaged in the technology sector.

2. Hubs and platforms providing support to companies in the field of digital transformation.

3. Companies and organisations seeking to transform their own business model by using digital technologies.

4. Providers of professional education in this field.

5. Public sector bodies aiming to address deficiencies in the local digital infrastructure or ex and digital public services to improve the conditions of firms relying on this infrastructure.

The Call for Expression of Interest will be published on November 8, 2021.

Subject to an encouraging outcome of the expressions of interest received, IFE will proceed with launching a Call for Proposal.

In such a case, interested investors will be invited to submit compelling project proposals on digitalisation, which will also contribute to the creation of sustainable jobs.

The official launch of the Call for Proposals is planned for the first quarter of 2022.

How to participate in the Expression of Interest

• If your company or the public entity that you are representing is active in the field of digital transformation, or if you are planning to invest in it, please contact us so that we can include you in our list of stakeholders. You will also receive an invitation to take part in the online survey.

On 8 November 2021, the facility Investing for Employment will send out invitations to an online survey to collect information about the state of digital transformation in Ghana. We will also launch a series of round table discussions – both in Ghana and online.

• Based on your feedback and on the results of the online survey, we will define the Terms of Reference of our next Call for Proposals.
