Head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has announced that Arsenal star, Thomas Partey will lead the team in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Partey will lead the team upon his return after Andre Ayew was left out of the lineup for the matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
The former Atletico Madrid player had been away from the team, mainly due to injuries.
Thomas Partey’s return is a huge boost for the Black Stars ahead of their tough matches on June 6 and June 10, respectively, against Mali and CAR.
