2025 AFCON: Osimhen and Lookman Fire Nigeria to Final Four

Date:

Three countries have made it to the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows Nigeria’s brilliant 2-0 win over Algeria in the first quarter-final played on Saturday.

The Super Eagles made their dominance count with two quick goals after the break after a goalless first-half.

Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen opened the scoring with a towering header, before setting up Akor Adams for the second.

Nigeria will face hosts Morocco next in the last four in a battle for a place in the finals.

The Atlas Lions beat Cameroon 2-0, while Senegal edged Mali 1-0 in their own quarter-final match.
