Ghanaian teenager Patrick Amoako Nuamah climbed off the bench to score a consolation goal for Italian Serie B side Brescia in their 3-1 away defeat to Serie A side AC Monza in the Coppa Italia on Thursday night.
Nuamah, 18, came on for Giacomo Olzer at the start of the second half when Brescia was already down by three goals to nil.
The young central midfielder, born to Ghanaian parents in Brescia got his opportunity to pull one back for his side when he smartly rounded Monza goalkeeper Pizzignacco to score in the 67th minute.
Having featured twice for Italy’s U-18 side, Nuamah can choose to represent the country of his birth, Italy, or the land of his parents, Ghana.
