Turkish football club Bandırmaspor has officially announced the tragic death of its 25-year-old defender, Tolga Kalender.
The press service of the Turkish First League team published an official statement expressing profound sorrow over the player’s untimely passing.
Club representatives said they were praying for the deceased and extended their sincere condolences to the footballer’s family, loved ones, and the entire Bandırmaspor community.
Many Turkish clubs and football figures also joined the condolences, including the defender’s former team, Adana Demirspor, for whom Kalender played in the Süper Lig.

Tolga Kalender was born on August 17, 2001, in Mersin. During his professional career, the 25-year-old centre-back played for Adana Demirspor, Diyarbakırspor, Bayrampaşa and Tuzlaspor before continuing his career with Bandırmaspor.
The exact cause of death has not yet been officially announced. However, Turkish media reported that the young footballer died after suffering an illness — he had previously experienced health problems — following a medical operation.
