Patrice Evra, a former footballer for Manchester United, has stated his intention to try Ghana Jollof once he arrives.
On the evening of September 12, 2022, Evra arrived in Ghana to a raucous welcome.
At the Kotoka International Airport, the Manchester United Supporters Union of Ghana gave their former left-back a heartfelt greeting complete with singing and dancing.
The former star in an interview revealed that he wants to sample Ghana Jollof before leaving the Motherland after landing in Ghana.
“I have been in Nigeria, I have been in Senegal, and this is the best welcome so far,” the former French player said.
“The one thing I want to try is Ghana Jollof,” Evra said as Nana Aba Anamoah responded that “it’s the best Jollof in the world,” but Evra added, “I will tell you at the end of my trip.”
During his four-day vacation, the former France international is scheduled to see various regions of Ghana.
A rice dish from West Africa called jollof or jollof rice is mostly consumed by Ghanaians, Nigerians, and Senegalese.
