The myth behind Easter celebration

Date:

Easter is the second-most important festival in the Christian calendar, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

According to the beliefs of Christians, Christ died on a cross on a day called Good Friday and was buried for three days when Jesus resurrected and came back to life on Easter Sunday.

This significant event, historically attested to outside the church by many, is still having a great impact on our world 2,000 years later.

Easter gives Christians hope that their sins are forgiven and is commemorated as a consecration day to confess and tell God about one’s sins and remind God of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is believed to have died solely for the sins of mankind to gain them the salvation they deserved.

The myth that Satan took away the eternal life of mankind when Adam and Eve lost that gift of life to Satan after eating the “apple” made Jesus, after many years of that generation, come to gain the key of life by dying to obtain the keys of death and Hades.

Possessing the “keys of death” means that the risen Christ has control and authority over death and could restore life to mankind.

After His resurrection, Christ ate and drank in the company of His disciples to mark the intake of communion in remembrance of that day as consecration for mankind to make it to his kingdom.

The Easter story is the decisive move of God in saving humankind from sin and restoring all things to Himself.

Easter is a time for joy and feasting, and it properly begins on Ash Wednesday. It has 40 days of Lent, a time of fasting or giving arms. Easter is actually a whole week-long festival in many churches across the world.

It’s another way that Christians show love to all and recall the steps God took to allow mankind to approach and be reconciled with Him. It is believed that flowers begin to spring and young animals are born. Probably where the easter bunny comes from.

In our modern society, it must be admitted that the commercialization of Easter is fully established; cards and flowers are given out.

Many churches organize parties and various outdoor programs on Easter Monday, while some youth also go swimming at the beach, all in the name of celebrating the eternal life gained after the resurrection of Christ.
