The National Sports Authority (NSA) has assured the protection of the various national stadia.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, the Director General of the NSA, confirmed to Asempa FM in an interview about the procurement of pitch covers.

The pitch covers are extremely essential in protecting the playing surfaces of the nation’s various stadia.

“We are in the process of acquiring pitch covers for our stadia. In the past, maybe it was an oversight, and that is why we don’t have some at the moment, but for now, we are making arrangements to get some,” he said.

“We don’t want our pitches to deteriorate, as we witnessed in the past,” Ampofo Ankrah added.
