Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, visited the Black Queens this morning to deliver a focused message of encouragement before their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final later today.
The Minister praised the squad for silencing early doubts and steering Ghana to its first WAFCON semi-final since 2016. He urged the players to perform “as if you are playing at home,” noting that the entire nation already takes pride in their progress and is eager to see them advance.
Hon. Adams was joined by senior officials from the Ministry, representatives of the Ghana Football Association, Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco, and staff of the Ghanaian Embassy in Rabat.
Together, they emphasised unity, concentration, and the importance of finishing the campaign strongly. The Minister also confirmed that all logistical and welfare arrangements remain in place to support the team through the closing stages of the competition.
With national anticipation high and official backing assured, the Black Queens head into tonight’s fixture determined to reach the final and challenge for a historic continental crown.
