Six players from the Ghana Premier League (GPL) have been included in the Black Stars squad to face Mexico.
As part of preparations towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, Ghana is taking a deep dive into her pool of players to enhance the final selection for the tournament.
The six players invited include Black Stars number one goalie Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak), Gidios Asenako (Dreams FC), and Razack Simpson (Nations FC).
Others are Ebenezer Abban (Heart of Lions), Ebenezer Adade (Dreams FC), and Salim Adams (Medeam SC).
The match against Mexico under new head coach Carlos Querioz will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc.
