Renowned rapper Sarkodie, has taken a swipe on his critics following a recent Instagram post believed to aimed at the current administration.
The musician suffered an online backlash after he posted on his Instagram story about “returning to gari soakings like we never left.”
The post, which made rounds on January 8, 2025, sparked a wave of reactions, with some interpreting it as a politically charged statement directed at the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Sarkodie addressed the criticism by sharing a video of a popular Ghanaian preacher, Rev. Obofuor, on his X account, who was emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and warning against relying on hearsay.
“No wise person depends on hearsays; only fools do,” the man of God said in the video.
Followers perceived the “Happy Day” hitmaker’s video post as a subtle response to those who misconstrued his initial Instagram post.
The post has garnered significant attention on X, amassing over 300,000 impressions and sparking numerous conversations among users.
