Albert Diawuo, Public Relations Officer of Berekum Chelsea, has revealed his team’s coach Samuel Boadu’s eagerness to beat his former team, Hearts of Oak.
Berekum Chelsea will host Hearts of Oak at the Golden City Park on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in a matchweek 31 encounter of the 2024—25 Ghana Premier League.
The Sunyani-based team, Chelsea, who are reeling from their 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko in the semi-final of the MTN FA Cup, aim to end their season on a high note.
Samuel Boadu, ever since leaving Hearts of Oak after leading them to winning five trophies from 2020 to 2022, has not been able to beat them in all the games with his current team, Berekum Chelsea.
“We know what we can do… Since Samuel Boadu joined us, he has faced Hearts three times. He drew one and lost twice, so he is determined to get one over his former side this time around to redeem his image,” Diwuo said on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.
Berekum Chelsea are placed 11th on the league table with 41 points, five points behind their next opponent, Hearts of Oak.
