Ronaldo’s retirement date revealed

Date:

Portuguese media predicts legend Cristiano Ronaldo to retire from international football in September.

Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Wales at the Jose Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon on Thursday, September 24, 2026, is expected to be his last appearance.

According to sports journalist Mohamed Awaad on his account on X, a Portuguese agent told him that Ronaldo’s match against Wales will be his last dance.

Awaad wrote: “I was talking with a Portuguese agent, and he told me that what he thinks is ‘news’ is that Cristiano Ronaldo will retire internationally after just one appearance with Portugal”

“He will play against Wales in the UEFA Nations League; the match will be at Lisbon club stadium, Jose Alvalade,” Awaad stated, citing the Portuguese agent’s statement.

The journalist added that the agent’s justification is that the match will take place in the stadium where the star first started, allowing him to close the final chapter of his international career.
