Carlos Queiroz has affirmed to Ghanaians that he is a winning coach; hence, his intention to win with Ghana at all costs.
The experienced Portuguese coach was recently appointed to take charge as the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana with just a month before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking at his unveiling at the Swiss Spirits Alisa Hotel on Thursday, April 23, 2026, Coach Queiroz assured fans he is the type that likes to win and doesn’t attribute himself as a defensive or attacking-minded coach.
“I am neither a defensive nor an attacking coach. I am a winning coach,” the former Iran coach said to the media and stakeholders present at the unveiling.
The coach faces a mammoth task of assembling the best squad for the tournament, where he aims at making a great start against Panama on June 17.
“Our target is to beat Panama for all three points at the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” he continued.
