Renowned gospel chanteuse, Piesie Esther, has threatened to defeat rapper Black Sherif for the coveted Artist Of The Year award in the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

According to her, she has worked pretty hard this year and deserved to be crowned artist of the year even if she meets Black Sherif in the same nominations.

Piesie Esther said this during an interview with the gossip entertainment show e-Quick on Max TV in Accra on Wednesday.

‎”I have worked really hard this year and I deserved to be crowned artist of the year. This is a competition, so I will defeat him. Last year, Blacko won it but this year, I have held it tight so no matter what I will defeat him. Even Blacko is aware that this is Piesie’s year,” she said.

The “Me Ntse Ase” hitmaker reassured that her consistent effort and dedication would produce different results when she comes face-to-face with any giant secular act in future award cycles.
