Methodist Senior High Technical School, Berekum, has booked its place in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) national championship after a commanding victory in the first Bono Regional qualifier, held at Sunyani SHS.
The school delivered an outstanding performance throughout all four rounds, topping the contest with 38 points. This marks their second appearance at the national stage, following their debut in 2023.
Veteran contenders Nafana Presby SHS, with three past national appearances, finished second with 18 points, while Koase SHTS came third with 16 points. Our Lady of Providence SHS and Mansen SHS followed with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
The contest is part of four scheduled for today in the Bono Region, kicking off the nationwide NSMQ 2025 regional qualifiers.
Excitement filled the venue as cheering students and supporters created a vibrant atmosphere.
Methodist SHTS, Berekum’s win not only guarantees a national slot but also pushes them into the Bono Regional Finals, where they’ll vie for regional bragging rights and momentum heading into the championship.
