The win over Hearts of Oak by Nations has blown the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League(GPL) title race wide open.
Razack Simpson produced a stunning long-range volley at the Tuba Astro Turf in the 65th minute to condemn Hearts to their seventh defeat of the season.
Kasim Mingle, head coach of Nations FC, expressed confidence in his side, six points behind table-toppers Asante Kotoko, having a chance at the title, insisting the league is now open.
“The league is open for about six or seven teams, so we are on course,” he said to Nana Darkwa Gyasi on Max TV.
Kotoko’s position at the top with 45 points is closely being pursued by Bibiani Gold Stars on 44 points and Heart of Lions on 40 points.
