Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Wilson Arthur, has confirmed that the Tarkwa TNA Stadium will host the semifinals of this year’s competition.
The quarterfinals, held over the weekend in Kumasi, delivered thrilling action, drawing an electric atmosphere on both Saturday and Sunday. The decision to stage the semis in Tarkwa aligns with the committee’s commitment to bringing the game closer to fans.
At the end of the quarterfinal clashes, Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea, Golden Kick, and Attram de Visser secured spots in the final four.
Speaking on preparations for the next stage, Arthur emphasized the goal of making the tournament more engaging.
“It’s a good thing to create a mini-festival out of the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final,” he told the media “This means we need to put in extra effort, and we won’t schedule the games on a Saturday. The semifinals will be played at Tarkwa TNA Park.”
The matches are scheduled to take place in two weeks, setting the stage for an intense battle for a place in the grand finale.
