MTN FA CUP R32: Hearts thrash Golden Kick to advance to next stage

Accra Hearts of Oak have advanced to the next stage of MTN FA Cup after beating Golden Kick.

Hearts who are the current champions of the FA Cup opened the scoring through Kofi Kodzi who was set up by Salifu Ibrahim.

He unleashed a powerful low shot which beat the goalkeeper of Golden Kick.

The second goal followed as Salifu again hit a low corner kick which was connected beautifully by Daniel Afriyie Barnie to make it 2-0 to Hearts.

Golden Kick then scored to reduce the deficit but James Sewornu scored a quick turn to make it 3-1 to Hearts before the break.

After the recess Golden Kick we’re back in the game when they scored a second to make it 3-2.

Hearts then went on to score a 4th after Kojo Obeng Jr connected with his head a Salifu cross.

Suraj Seidu then put the icing on the cake with a neat low finish to see the game end 5-2.

This means that Hearts of Oak are through to the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.
