A level 200 student of the University of Cape Coast has been found dead at the Hutchland Beach Resort in Cape Coast, Central Region.

The 20-year-old deceased, Innocentia Avinu, was reported missing by her family after she was last seen at Ayensu Plaza Hostel on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

The Ghana Police Service has launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Reports suggested that some of her body parts— including one of her breasts are missing.

However, a preliminary investigation conducted at the crime scene didn’t confirm the aforementioned report.

She was found with blood oozing out from her nose face-down, while only in her brassiere and underwear.

Innocentia Avinu, had reportedly told friends she was going to meet a friend outside of campus before her disappearance.
