MAX GPL: Legon Cities beaten 1-0 by Bechem United

Date:

Legon Cities suffered a 1-0 loss way at Bechem in week 31 of the BetPawa Premier League at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Saturday, May 20.

Bechem United needed the win to stay in touching distance of league leaders Aduana FC after their loss to fellow title chasers, Medeam SC, in their last fixture.

Emmanue Avornyo’s strike in the 35th minute proved to be enough for Hunters to steal a valuable win.

Bechem United missed some great chances to extend their lead after recess. Legon Cities seemed to put up a fight to earn an equalizer but the defence of the home side remained reolute.

Bechem United move up to the second position on the league table, at least for now, with 51 points as a win or draw for Medeama will move them above Bechem when they play on Sunday LIVE on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.
