MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Wendy Shay involved in an accident

Date:

Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay, has been involved in a car accident on Saturday night in between Kwabenya and ACP stretch road in the Greater Accra Region.

This has been the second accident involved with an artiste signed to Rufftown record label headed by Bullet, hence sending shockwaves through the showbiz fraternity.

Wendy Shay is believed to have sustained injuries after hitting her head on the dashboard of her Jeep Wrangler.

According to eyewitnesses, Wendy Shay’s Jeep Wrangler collided with a tipper truck loaded with sand which made the front side of her jeep with registration number plate, SHAY 21-19 severely damaged.

Giving an account on the incident at the accident scene, the Deputy News Editor of UTV, Prince Obimpeh said he witnessed Wendy Shay coming out of her jeep and was complaining of excruciating head pain.

“Coming out of the valley, not far from the KNUST Accra Campus junction, I noticed a group of people gathering around a car. I made the decision to park and observe what was going on.”

“When I checked, I saw a woman getting out of a car. She resembled Wendy Shay and had dreadlocks. I got closer, I could see that it was Wendy Shay. Shay, the Wrangler she was driving had a unique registration. I quickly drew up to her and inquired as to what was going on. She said she was in an excruciating head pain after hitting her head on the dashboard and that she is unable to speak much,” he explained.

Obimpeh observed that the stretch “road between the ACP Junction and Kwabenya is typically clear at night, thus despite the presence of police, cars are frequently traveling at top speed,” hence the accident.

Recently, Wendy Shay in media interviews lamented how some colleagues attempted to get rid of her spiritually and physically and attributed her survival to the glory of God.

She even went further to urge young musicians to beseech God for protection as the industry was not canal as many deemed it to be.
